“Highsmith Beach” wins the Killer-Works.com “Beach Blanket Bloodbath” Contest!
My particularly nasty story “Highsmith Beach” won the top prize at a contest sponsored by Killer-Works.com. The story will be published in an upcoming anthology, and you can read it on Killer-Works’ site here.
Printer’s Row Signing!

Book Fair in Chicago from 2-4:00 pm on June 3, 2006.
Book debut!
Candy in the Dumpster, the first title from Dark Arts Books, will be debuting at the World Horror Convention 2006. In addition to stories from Bill, it will feature work from Jay Bonansinga, John Everson and Martin Mundt.

Cannes Film Festival

Cannes
Bill’s screenplay “Last of the True Believers” won a competition sponsored by DAILY VARIETY. The prize was traveling to the Cannes Film Festival and pitching the screenplay to a panel of Hollywood development/acquisition executives in front of an audience of about 150 journalists, festival attendees and hopeful screenwriters.
